Palermo is primarily a residential neighborhood, this area of the city is surrounded with parks and gardens, as well as countless bars and restaurants, as well as an active night life and cultural activities. Palermo is the largest neighborhood of the city, with sub-zones within the neighborhood, located approximately fifteen minutes from downtown.
The area known as Palermo Viejo is characterized by its colonial style architecture, its bohemian style, its interior decoration businesses, and its many bars and restaurants. In Palermo, visitors will find a great concentration of green spaces and areas of tourist interest, such as the Botanical Garden, the Zoo, the Rural Society, the horse track, the Palermo Woods and lakes, the Rosedal, and the Borges Street with its house/museum, among other attractions. The lakes and woods of Palermo provide a great venue for walks or sporting activities. Also visit the Rosedal, where you can admire a wide variety of roses and many beautiful sculptures.

Weekend meeting point at the round plaza, surrounded by bars and pubs. The zone is also filled with many decoration shops and ethnic restaurants, in a bohemian style atmosphere characterized by its colonial architecture. The area is a nice place to pass a couple of hours in the afternoon and finish with a coffee or a snack in one of the bars at the Plaza Julio Cortázar.
